So, how long did it take for you to mark up your brand new bike?
I made it 9 days.
I was in a hurry, I had to get home after work and get my daughter to a forgotten appointment.

I always back the bike into the garage and I swung it around to far and too fast and it hit the garage door frame. I am so mad at myself.

So, does anyone have any suggestions on buffing out the scratches?

I knew I would scratch it sometime, but not this soon.

Repairing "screw ups" on my ABS hard bags, I have used steel wool of a finer grade (400-500) to polish out shallow scratches. Deeper scratches may require sanding with finer grades of paper (240-320-400 grit), then the steel wool treatment. I finish off the "repairs" with liquid floor wax (Armor-All would work also). There will almost always be a reminder of the error present but at least it is not as offensive to the eyes of the errant owner.
