    If you go to the "CTX700forum.com" site there is a very detailed how-to on this subject, with pictures. The difference in the site......CTX700forum......without a dash between 700 and forum. Hope that makes sense. That site has much more info on the bike and is a lot more active than this site.

    There are cheaper new bikes out there but.....they are 250s. A lot more expensive bikes too. Depends what you are looking for. Look at a BMW scooter.....lot more expensive.     CTX700 why does age come into it?

    Glad to see an 86 year old still riding. I'm only 76 so it means I have another 10 years to go. Uhoh.....I told my wife the CTX700 was my last bike. Maybe not.

    What do you mean by "mountain riding"? If you mean going in the mountains at high altitudes. Not a problem. If you mean off road.......a lot better choices.

    If you are truly interested in a "good" helmet get an Arai or a Shoei. Expensive but effective.
