I had a trouble resetting the Trip A/B indicators on the meter to zero. Pressing just the B button which is supposed to reset them went into program mode, as if I pressed the both A & B Buttons. The meter would flash the 3, the meters brightness indicator and I have to go thru the entire sequence to get back to normal mode. Turning ignition key on and off did not do anything.
So I took the seat off and disconnected the negative leads on the battery, turned the key on for 30 seconds and pushed the starter button (to drain any residual voltage in the system). Put everything back on the battery and the Trip meters are back working. You can never explain when some of those zeros and ones get confused.
