Drivers backrest

Yardprune, if you’re anything like me, 62 years old, 5’6”, 150 lbs., with bad knees and back (many years of playing basketball and tennis!), I highly recommend the Utopia driver’s backrest I recently installed on my Honda CTX700.

Cost around $245 + $65 to a local Upholstery guy who’s installed them before. Just make some phone calls. Compare that to the $500 cost of a new Corbin seat, plus another $300 for backrest! The Utopia product shipped out in a timely manner, great customer service from family owned biz, and the construction is high quality and well designed. It is highly adjustable, provides great support for my lower back, and significantly more comfort on an already comfortable ride! I think it’s the best $300 I could’ve spent on my bike. Let me know if you have additional questions or concerns. Good luck and safe riding! Scott

Hello,

New to the forum and I was looking for something similar to help during longer trips. Tried a bunch of things and finally landed here. See attached.
It works very well and is completely adjustable with the straps and is stable to provide a level of back lean and lower lumbar level support.

Total cost $35
Fit is universal.

1. triangle looking tail bag from Amazon. $20* (link below)
2. a sissy bar cushion made for an HD sportster from eBay. $15* (link below)

*Prices at the time of posting. May be higher or lower depending on purchase and availability timeframe.

My goal was to not change anything on the bike , add it when I need it and spend as less as possible.

My bike is a 2014 CTX 700N attached with panniers (honda) and a top box (Givi). I really do not need a tail bag, but this tail bag works as a very easy access space for gloves, shades, a cap and a bottle of water - increasing stability of the backrest and being functional and cheap.

Conceptually any tail bag will do the job. This one worked well for me and almost looks like a soft cowl attached and I really did not need a big bag.

Good luck !. Ride Safe !!
