Heel shifter available for 6 speeds??

I didn't know that there was a "factory" toe shifter for the DCT. I sort of remember that someone rigged one up, but I didn't know that Honda did one. Do you have more info on it?

Heel shifter available for 6 speeds??

No problem! I'm putting in the production order today and I doubt I'll see them before next month. I'm kicking in and ordering an overage so there will be a few left over for stragglers. Dorothea should send me a Private Message with her email address to actually get her place in the line up.

Heel shifter available for 6 speeds??

The 6-speed manual "heel shifter" is going to be available! Okay, I got over to see my vendor late yesterday and it looks like I can swing this deal if I can get at least 5 orders actually sold. Based upon the extremely small number to be produced, he suggested that I "retail" them @$59 each +...

Heel shifter available for 6 speeds??

Details and pictures are best handled by a link to the "other" CTX site. There you can get the full story of the what, where, & why. I'm the "who" and the "when" will happen when I finally hear back from my vendor. It's not like him to be silent after several voicemails so I'm wondering if...

Heel shifter available for 6 speeds??

For that small handful that have a 6 speed manual shifter and are not on "the other" forum as well as here, be advised that I've developed a heel shifter for our CTX700's. This is a drill one hole and make a couple of cuts in the lower left side Tupperware (that shrouds the gearshift) DIY...

    Thoughts

Yeah, he was and still is a nice guy. But on his watch we had 18% mortgage rates. BTW, he also used to be the worst president we've ever had.

Fehling crash bars, shipped to the US

I've written them and got a reply that they only fit the naked bikes (apparently no full fairing models go into Germany). But the more I stare at that one picture in the catalog listings, the more I think the fairing won't be in the way. Any chance you could post close ups of the bars so I can...

The Corbin seats are NOT compatible with the Shad top box bracket

Just let Corbin know you have a Shad, and they'll make the back end fit on the seat they are making for you.

How would you rate the overall ride quality of the CTX700?

If by "buzzy" you mean the vibration coming from the engine, I would venture that there's a problem with your particular ride. I grant you that I have a 6 speed, not a DCT, but I recently got out on it and finally ran it up to full highway speeds (70+ mph). I'm amazed just how smooth it still...

How old were you when you started riding a bike?

I was licensed on my 14th birthday here in Florida and started riding that very day!

Why did you pick the CTX700?

After I decided to get another bike, the decision was rather easy. Of the final candidates, the CTX had the looks, the reliability my wife wanted to see, that 6th gear I've wanted for years and finally, Yelvington Trikes already made a conversion kit for it. Sold!:)

    New member welcome thread..

Three Score & 12 and Building a CTX700 trike! At age 72, I think that I have finally passed the point where my oft cited claim that "most people my age are dead already" is no longer a joke! But in any case, I'm glad to be signing on here having stumbled across this yesterday (Google knows...
