From grip to rear brake foot paddle

I could not find a brake pad that I liked so here's what I did with the remnants of the original grips when I put the heated grips on. Cut a piece of 3/8" hardwood into a trapezoid then glued and clamped it with some strong epoxy. You can epoxy the whole outside of the piece of wood for a strong application. The irregular surface on the metal paddle makes a good glue surface. Then with the piece of rubber (OEM grips) I wrapped it around the wood and cut the piece of rubber to fit around it.

After I was happy with the shape of the grip, I applied black silicone on the back of the entire piece of rubber and tied it too the paddle with the 3 vertical tie wraps and let it set for a day. To get the rolled outside edge I siliconed it and tie wrapped horizontally across the pad. After it set I took the horizontal tie wraps and the pad is as you see it.
