    K&N filter recall

I finally took mine off last week as I'm planning a long run soon, and it had absolutely no serial number at all on it, anywhere. Screw K&N, I replaced it with a genuine Honda filter.

    750-cc CTX?

I wouldn't trade for 80 cc, that amount is negligible on a big bike, the 80 cc alone won't make much of a difference. I will only trade for a bike that goes up in technology. The new Yamaha tracer GT is a 900 triple, electronic cruise control standard, Adjustable forks and rear shock from the...

    Running light power source

If you use running lights that are LED, you can go ahead and attach it to the heated grips, there's very little drain or stress with an LED. Make sure you fuse that wire with a 5a fuse on the pos wire.

    What are your limits?

I actually used a cooling shirt, the kind you get wet and then put on, several years ago, when I did long-distance on my BMW. It worked pretty well I never had any real problems with it, but as long as air is flowing through my riding equipment, I'm fine with just a coolMax T-shirt. It works good.

Joe rocket survivor one piece suit.

I have always had a one piece suit that I could step in easily and get out of easily. The Aero stitch fills the bill but it's $1150, I've had one before and loved it but I just don't want to put that much money in a suit. Also, everybody has pulled back from making them, very few selections are...

    What are your limits?

I don't really have a lower temp in S Florida, it's always fine in the winter, in the summer as long as I'm moving , I can do 95 to 100°. I looked for over two months, tried several mesh jackets until I found one that really works well, a joe rocket. It has better flow than any other jacket...

Saw this on the other site: K&N Engineering, Inc. SAFETY RECALL NOTICE Dear Dealer or Distributor: K&N Engineering, Inc. (K&N), has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain KN-204 (black) and KN-204C (chrome) oil filters, and it has initiated a voluntary...

    Won't start...#@*///

I don't believe anybody up above mentioned anything about lithium ion, yes, Ions wont, agm's and conventional, Which is what our bike uses, will equalize. That's why I don't like lithium. I am specifically speaking about how to get a battery tender to work if you go below 11. Nothing more.

    Won't start...#@*///

It's true that a battery tender or any real battery charger will not charge a dead flat battery below 11. But there is a way to revive it. You need to hook up a completely fresh 100% charged battery positive to positive negative to negative and let the two equalize overnight. A daily driver car...

    Trouble in Paradise.

Went over to RIVA today to look at helmets and my sales guy said they had heard about it from their customers....esp loaded two up riding.....If all this is correct, (and there's actually no doubt that it is), this will be a huge hit on the wing… Sales wise…

Any windshield option updates or opinions?

There is far more to making a quality windshield Than just cutting a piece of Lexan, it needs to be heat molded and shaped, then tested with the brackets to make sure that it's not going to split or Crack.

Any windshield option updates or opinions?

The webike.net center stand discussed here and other forums works perfectly fine. It folds up with no modifications in 30 minutes. It is actually for the NC700X, but fits the CTX as well.

    Battery ?

They both are fine, forget the gel. The AGM stands for absorbed glass mat, which is the construction that allows deeper discharge, ability to hold a charge longer, like in the winter if it's not on a charger, and a little bit better starting. However if you take care of the cheaper one it'll...

    Should I change the Exhaust?

any of these exhausts that are available for a CTX don't have to "retune" the bike, the ECU will make adjustments and it will run fine, a good example of that is the radiant, many people running them and doing nothing but slapping them on. And yes, it sounds nice.

    Grab Rails

You can remove them, a shorter hex cap bolt from Lowe's or AMZN should do the job ....you can find them there in anodized black. There is a spacer underneath that bolt, if you take it out , you'll have an even bigger hole. Also there is a large rectagular pad there too

    Let's see your large saddlebags

Yeah, I bolted them on jfc's brackets, and then found a saddle bag liner that I pack and just take out and go in the house. I really have not yet come up with a way to make them quik detachable, and I sourced a few friends of mine that are geniuses in fabrication to no avail. Big screw knob...

    What happened here? ? ? ?

Not me, with a good flow thru mesh jacket, I'm perfectly fine, i do the 200 mile ft laud to sarasota run via okechobee about every 3 weeks to see my college roommate who's terminal on chemo. The key is to keep moving, urban traffic is not Suggested....Lol....I actually find the humidity and heat...
