Got it started. Charged battery for a couple of days with trickle charger - started right up. I figure what the problem with the battery was that in all the hustle and toil I left the ignition on for quite a while and drained it. Damage to me is better too - broke the fibula and not the tibia...
Laid my 2015 CTX700 down in a curve (90 degree turn - went in too hot and ended up sliding on the gravel). After it was picked up off of me we tried to start it. Does 2 weak cranks and then solenoid clicks. Battery cables tight and no apparent damage other than cosmetic and my pride. I'm OK...
