Do you work in STEM fields/technology? If so you probably know this story well. I was ordered by corp mgmt to train my foreign replacements. It was the most demoralizing time of my life. I continue to bring awareness to this crap.

This has happened everywhere. I am sorry it happened to you. The rest of it is too political for me. Like all trends like this, both fair and unfair, its dynamics are complicated. Good luck!

As everyone knows, our prime media services here in the U.S. spoon feeds us what they want us to know and they spend a great deal of time and resources attempting to shape how we think about issues. If a person reads alternative sources here in the U.S. and abroad, it changes their entire perspective on what is happening in the world. It seems that "our" prime news wants Hillary as president, but we have to consider who owns these networks. Fox news leans to the right, MSNBC leans to the left, the point is that the news they present is biased. Because of that, it's not news, it's propaganda. The point is that there is very little news but a great deal of opinion coming from the few who own the media.

As for the subject of the original post, This nation has been on gradual decline for a very long time. The older folks here can speak of a time when jobs were plentiful. At some point back, factories began closing down and jobs were sent over seas, but we already know that. This is a new development (at least to me), where our jobs at home are being staffed by foreigners. As I alluded to earlier why did the media not mention this. I understand why Fox news did, meaning a slam against Hillary, but what about the other news services?

Apparently we already know Clinton's position on this, so I would like to know Trumps position.

There is another trend and that is replacing older higher paid workers with younger lower paid workers.

All politics aside, I've heard Clinton threaten Russia with war and I also know that Putin has upgraded his defense system in preparation for a nuclear war. This didn't come out of thin air... The later came about after G.W.Bush declared Russia a threat during the Iraq war to which Putin responded by saying that it seems that the U.S. is the threat (for obvious reasons) and that he was going to build up his defense system. I don't call this politics because it's real, not opinion.

Anyway, even if it's posturing I don't think threatening a war which might turn into a thermal nuclear scenario is being responsible.

I'm not picking sides, everyone has their own opinion and both candidates have their negatives.

This isn't a political debate so don't get excited about this post.

Perhaps I shouldn't have even mentioned this, but, for the most part, it seems to be missing from prime time news and I felt that since it's a very important issue, it needs to be considered when choosing a president. Make of it what you will.

Trump has Senator Sessions on his side. Senator Sessions was the first senator to back him. Sessions is a champion on this issue. By far the best. I've communicated with his former immigration staffer Stephen Miller. Stephen Miller now works on the Trump campaign. They know me because I chose to speak out and I've provided information to them. Most workers won't speak out for a fear of being blackballed by the industry.

My Disney friend (who I met after he trained his foreign repalcements) went on stage at the Trump Huntsville, AL rally. http://www.computerworld.com/articl...-off-it-workers-speak-out-at-trump-rally.html

ComputerWorld has quite a few articles on Trumps stance.

For me, it's just nice to finally get someone to speak the truth about these programs; which (IMO) are just gifts congress returns to their corporate campaign donors.

I left on my own when I landed another job and have been fully employed for the past 14 years. I just don't think this is fair to the youth of this country that are told "get an Education, go in debt" then they can't locate work in their fields.

it's not just IT either. McDonalds, Columbus,OH replaced their entire Accounting staff with foreign guestworkers/H-1b visas. They said it was a "cost cutting" measure. http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presi...ign-h-1bs-fires-70-american-accounting-staff/

ToysRUs, NJ did the same with their accounting dept. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/30/u...eign-workers-to-us-to-move-jobs-overseas.html

ComputerWorld on Trump's stance http://www.computerworld.com/articl...ers-and-all-emerges-as-sharp-h-1b-critic.html
Jeff Sessions on visas http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...sas-tremendous-threat-american-professionals/

There is another trend and that is replacing older higher paid workers with younger lower paid workers. This is one of the tools they use to do this. I'm 54 and hope to get out of this rat trap in 8 years.
