Many of us have owned (maybe still own) bikes other than our CTX.
What's in your past?
Me, in random order- '49 Cushman, '56 Cushman, '55 Zundapp, '69 Yamaha DT-1, "71 Kawasaki Mach III, '98 Valkyrie (2),
04 Heritage Softtail, '05 Road King classic, '11 Suzuki TU 250, 11 Suzuki GSF1250, '03 BMW R1200C, '12 V Strom 650, '08 V Strom 1000, '99 Honda Elite 80, '11 Ural T, '14 CTX N
Not all at once, some for a very short time-loved the Valkyrie and the R1200C-torque from the GSF1250 was unbelievable.
But my CTX is the right bike at the right time.
Nothing to do but put gas in and ride. Oh, and add "stuff".

I doubt I can remember them all, but here goes: BSA 441 Special, Triumph 650 Bonneville, Yamaha 650 VStar, 1100 VStar, BMW F800ST, BMW R1150GS, and now the CTX700 DCT that I bought primarily for the DCT after dislocating two fingers on my left hand that I haven't really ever recovered from. In the future, I may add a few additional bikes to the collection. I and looking at an Aprilia Mana and a BMW F800GT.

When the Valks came out I thought they may have the same influence to the motorcycle population as the Honda CB750 did. But it never happened. It will always be one of my favorite bikes. Honda was no different then with their accessories either , windshield and saddlebags over $1K. Here's my 1996 that I had to go out of state to buy it because the dealers where asking $1-$2K over sticker.
